Common Questions

Questions about On Call Primary Care?

Everything you need to know about our Direct Primary Care membership. Still have questions? Feel free to contact us.

Membership: $100/month — no copays, no visit limits, no hidden fees.

Medications: Unlimited generic medications delivered to your door with 6 free shipments. After that, it's $7.99 per shipment (charged by our pharmacy partner), regardless of how many medications are included. We typically dispense 90-day supplies to minimize the number of shipments you need. For urgent needs (e.g., antibiotics), you can pick up medications the same day at your local pharmacy at no cost using our urgent medication card.

Labs: Around $25 for a comprehensive primary care lab workup, including diabetes, cholesterol, thyroid, infection markers, liver and kidney function, anemia, and more. Labs are drawn at a convenient local lab near you.

Imaging: Pricing varies by study but is significantly lower than hospital rates (e.g., chest X-ray under $50, knee MRI under $300—hospital pricing is often around $2,500).

Note: All prices listed above reflect cash (out-of-pocket) rates. If you have insurance, labs and imaging are typically covered by your insurance, even when ordered by our practice.

You will be seeing Dr. Mashud Rana, MD, MPH for all your visits. He is the most thorough doctor you'll have. He treats his patients like family. Is very easy to talk to. You'll never feel rushed. And best part is, he will get to know you, not just your medical conditions.

Imagine being able to call your doctor on a Saturday night because you developed a bacterial infection, and within minutes your doctor calls in a prescription to your pharmacy. No long ER/urgent care visit. No anxiety/stress. All solved by a phone call. Next imagine not having to take off of work because you are able to see a PCP on the weekend. Your doctor works around your life, not the other way around. These are examples of what On Call Primary Care is about.

We deliver continuous primary care from home (virtually), without compromise. We follow the Direct Primary Care (DPC) model, providing affordable, transparent healthcare without the complexity of insurance. No middlemen. No premiums. No copays. Just straightforward, personalized care. Benefits include: unlimited telemedicine primary care & urgent care visits; weekend and after-hours appointments & calls with same or next day appointments; direct texting and calling with your doctor; unlimited generic medications mailed to your door or picked up from your pharmacy; very affordable labs and imaging; and a flat monthly rate with no hidden fees—cancel at any time, with discounts for family members included.

I, Dr. Rana, will be your dedicated physician who will get to know you on a personal level. I'll listen to your concerns and worries. I'll address all your medical needs. And I'll be there when you need me the most.

Yes. For most everyday medical needs, telemedicine provides the same high-quality, personalized care as in-person visits—without the wait or inconvenience. Research and real-world experience have shown this to be true. In addition, laboratory testing (such as blood work) allows us to detect subtle health issues that may not be apparent during a traditional office visit. And rather than waiting months to see a doctor, telemedicine gives you on-demand access to your physician, leading to better continuity of care, earlier intervention, and improved health outcomes.

It may sound too good to be true, but it's real. Through our partnerships with leading pharmacies, labs, and imaging providers, we bring you some of the most affordable healthcare prices available. Your membership includes unlimited medications delivered straight to your door—even if you're taking 15 or more prescriptions. For urgent needs that can't wait for delivery, such as antibiotics, you can pick them up at your pharmacy at no extra cost.

We have extensive partnerships with labs and imaging centers. When we order tests, you can have them done at a convenient location near you. Comprehensive blood work—including checks for infection, anemia, diabetes, liver, kidney, thyroid, and more—is available for around $25. If you have insurance, then these services are usually covered under your plan.

No. On Call Primary Care is not a replacement for health insurance. Our membership covers your primary care needs—including unlimited virtual visits, direct access to your physician, and many common medications—but it does not cover hospitalizations, emergency care, or most specialty procedures. Many of our patients choose to pair our membership with a high-deductible or catastrophic insurance plan. This combination gives you affordable, day-to-day medical care while still protecting you from major, unexpected medical expenses.

Our services are for everyone, with or without insurance. We do not accept insurance, however if you have it you can use it to cover medications, labs, imaging, specialists, and emergency care, even if these were ordered by us. If you don't have insurance, then this is the perfect solution for you. You'll receive comprehensive primary care at a price many people never thought was possible in healthcare.

Yes. You must first be an established member, and then you can reach out to us for any acute or urgent issues—even on weekends. Some patients maintain a separate primary care provider and use their membership exclusively for urgent or after-hours needs, which is perfectly fine.

Yes. Our memberships are monthly. No long-term contracts. Cancel at the click of a button or message/call us to cancel.

Most of our patients are treated virtually, and the majority of medical services can be provided this way. However, in some cases an in-person visit may be necessary. If Dr. Rana determines that an office visit is needed, we can arrange an in-person consultation. We are currently serving all of Florida.
